What happens with ties or cancellations?
Ties give everyone a full refund with no fees. Cancelled bets also refund all participants.
If an outcome vote ends in a tie, or the result cannot be determined from the agreed question, the bet does not pay one side as the winner.
Participants receive their wager back and Poll does not apply the winning-payout fee.
Cancellation follows the same basic principle: stakes are returned rather than awarded to either side. A creator can cancel while nobody else has wagered.
Once other people join, the terms need protection so one person cannot simply remove a bet after seeing which side attracts money.
If the event itself is abandoned or the wording has no fair answer, use the available resolution and dispute process rather than trying to reinterpret the question after the deadline.
Before joining, check whether the question covers postponements, draws, or other edge cases that are realistic for the event.
Before creating, add a date, source, or precise threshold where it will make the outcome easier for everyone to recognise.
