Friends can open the link, sign in if needed, review the exact terms, and choose their side. 4) Once the event has happened, resolve the bet using the method selected when it was created. Participants may vote on the outcome, or the creator may be responsible for choosing it. 5) The winning side receives its share of the pot after settlement. Each participant should read the question, deadline, resolution method, and current terms before staking. Only wager an amount you are comfortable losing.

What's the difference between public and private bets?

Public is useful when the question makes sense without private context and you are comfortable with a wider audience seeing the wording and joining. Before publishing, avoid names or details that should stay inside your group. Visibility affects discovery, not the settlement rules. In both cases, participants should review the question, deadline, sides, and resolution method before placing a wager. Choose private if you are unsure whether the wording belongs in a public feed.

How does voting decide the outcome?

For a bet created with 'Vote on it' resolution, the people who wagered decide what happened after the event. Eligible participants cast a vote for the outcome they believe matches the question and agreed terms. The side with the majority of votes becomes the result. This method is useful for social questions that an outside data source cannot settle reliably, such as whether someone arrived on time or whether a challenge was completed. Write the question so voters are judging one observable condition, and include a deadline or threshold when it matters. Participants should vote from the original wording, not from a changed interpretation discussed after wagering closed. If the vote is tied or the group cannot determine the outcome, the bet can be treated as unresolved and stakes are returned according to the cancellation and tie rules. What is USDC?

USDC is a stablecoin designed to track the value of the US dollar. Poll uses USDC on the Solana network for wallet balances, wagers, and payouts. That makes a stake such as 5 USDC easier to interpret than an amount denominated in a cryptocurrency whose price may move sharply during the bet. Transfers and settlements are recorded onchain, so a transaction can be checked with a Solana block explorer. USDC is still a digital asset, not cash held in your bank account, and stablecoins can carry issuer, platform, and network risks. Make sure any external wallet or exchange you use supports USDC on Solana before sending funds. USDC with the same name can exist on several networks, and sending over an unsupported network may not reach your Poll wallet. You do not need to follow crypto prices to use a dollar-denominated balance, but you should understand the transfer details and only fund an amount you are comfortable using for wagers.

How do I add funds to my wallet?

Open the Wallet area and choose 'Add Funds' to see the funding methods available on your device. Apple Pay is available in the supported app flow: enter the amount, review the purchase details, and confirm the payment. If you already hold USDC, copy your Poll wallet address and send USDC on the Solana network to that address. Check the network and the full destination address before confirming an external transfer. A similarly named asset sent on another network will not follow the Solana deposit path. For a first transfer from a new wallet or exchange, consider sending a small amount before moving more. The balance updates after the purchase or onchain transfer has been processed. If a deposit is not visible, keep the transaction reference and check that the asset, network, and destination address were correct before contacting support. Never send a private key or recovery phrase to anyone offering to investigate a deposit.

How do I withdraw my money?

Go to Wallet, choose 'Withdraw', and enter the destination for your USDC. The receiving wallet or exchange must support USDC on the Solana network. Review the address carefully before confirming because onchain transfers generally cannot be reversed after they are sent. If you are using an exchange, copy the deposit address from that exchange's USDC deposit flow and confirm that Solana is the selected network. Do not use an address for a different network simply because it belongs to the same account. Enter the amount, review any displayed fee and the amount the recipient will receive, then confirm the withdrawal. Processing is normally quick once the transaction is submitted, although network or provider conditions can affect timing. You can use the transaction identifier to check its status on a Solana block explorer. If you are unsure about a new destination, send a small test withdrawal first and confirm it arrives before transferring the rest.

Is my money safe?

Poll uses wallets and onchain transactions on Solana so deposits, wagers, and settlements can be verified independently. The wallet design is non-custodial: the Poll team does not use your balance as a conventional pooled account that staff can freely move. That does not remove every risk. Protect every sign-in method connected to your account, use a strong unique password where one is required, and keep your email and device secure. Never share a recovery phrase, private key, one-time sign-in code, or API token with support or with someone contacting you in a message. Check that you are using app.poll.fun or an official Poll app before signing in. When sending USDC, confirm both the Solana network and the complete destination address. Smart contracts, stablecoins, networks, and third-party funding providers all have their own risks, so only use funds you can afford to lose. If you notice an unfamiliar sign-in, token, or transaction, revoke access where possible and contact support promptly.

What are the fees?

Poll does not charge a fee for adding funds. A withdrawal normally costs $1 to $2, with the exact amount depending on account conditions such as redeemed credit codes. The withdrawal screen shows the applicable charge before you confirm. For bets, Poll takes a small percentage from winning payouts rather than charging everyone when they join. A cancelled bet or a tied result returns stakes without that winning-payout fee. The minimum wager is $0.01. Even when the product does not impose a stated maximum, your own limit should be the amount you can comfortably lose. Review the figures shown on the bet and confirmation screen because they are the most relevant details for that transaction. External providers may have separate purchase, conversion, or transfer charges that Poll does not control. If the amount shown at confirmation differs from what you expected, stop and check the funding route, withdrawal destination, and bet terms before proceeding.

Can I use other currencies?

Poll currently only supports USDC on Solana. This keeps things simple and ensures everyone bets with stable, dollar-equivalent value. You can easily convert other currencies to USDC through exchanges like Coinbase or by using Apple Pay directly in the app.

'Vote on it' lets participating bettors vote on the outcome, while 'Creator picks' makes the creator responsible for selecting it. Set the wagering deadline if the bet should close before an event starts. Review the visibility setting: private bets are shared by link, while public bets may appear in Poll's public feed. Pick your side and stake, then read the final terms once more before creating it. Share the generated link with the people you want to invite. They can review the same question, sides, deadline, and resolution method before joining. Clear wording at creation time is the best way to avoid disagreements at settlement.

If an outcome vote ends in a tie, or the result cannot be determined from the agreed question, the bet does not pay one side as the winner. Participants receive their wager back and Poll does not apply the winning-payout fee. Cancellation follows the same basic principle: stakes are returned rather than awarded to either side. A creator can cancel while nobody else has wagered. Once other people join, the terms need protection so one person cannot simply remove a bet after seeing which side attracts money. If the event itself is abandoned or the wording has no fair answer, use the available resolution and dispute process rather than trying to reinterpret the question after the deadline. Before joining, check whether the question covers postponements, draws, or other edge cases that are realistic for the event. Before creating, add a date, source, or precise threshold where it will make the outcome easier for everyone to recognise.

How do I dispute an outcome?

If you believe a bet was resolved incorrectly, open the resolved bet and choose 'Dispute'. Explain which part of the result conflicts with the original question and include a reliable source when the outcome can be verified publicly. The useful evidence is the wording that existed when people wagered, the relevant deadline, and the result of the event. A disagreement about what someone intended is harder to review than a clear mismatch with those recorded terms. Poll can review disputes on public bets with verifiable outcomes, such as an official sports result, and correct an invalid resolution when the evidence supports it. Do not use the dispute flow simply because your side lost. For private social questions, participants may need to rely more heavily on the resolution method and shared context selected at creation time. If the vote is tied or no fair outcome can be established, returning stakes may be more appropriate than awarding one side. Clear questions and sources prevent most disputes before they start.

How does the reputation system work?

How do I install the CLI?

How do I connect Poll to my AI assistant?

Connect an AI client only after deciding what it should be allowed to do. 1) Create a named API token in [Settings > Developer](/settings), or use `poll auth token create --name "Claude"` in the CLI. Grant the smallest set of scopes the client needs. Browsing does not require permission to place real-money wagers. 2) Open the setup guide at [dev.poll.fun/mcp](https://dev.poll.fun/mcp) and copy the configuration for your client, such as Claude Desktop, Claude Code, or Cursor. Put the token in the environment or secret field described by that client, not directly into a prompt or a shared repository. 3) Restart or reconnect the client, then begin with a read-only request such as asking for public bets or your portfolio. Review every proposed action that could place a wager. The MCP server exposes Poll tools to the assistant, but the token scopes remain the security boundary. Revoke the token immediately in Settings if a device or configuration is no longer trusted.

What are API tokens and how do I create one?

API tokens, also called personal access tokens, let the Poll CLI, MCP server, or your own integration act within your account without using your normal interactive sign-in each time. Go to [Settings > Developer](/settings), choose 'New token', give it a name that identifies the device or integration, select the required permissions, and set an expiration. Use the smallest scope that can complete the job. In particular, do not grant the sensitive Bet permission to a tool that only needs to read public bets or balances. Copy the token when it is created because the full value is not shown again. Poll tokens use the `polld_` prefix, but the prefix is not a secret and does not prove that a value is safe. Store the full token in a password manager, environment variable, or the secret storage recommended by your client. Never paste it into chat, source control, screenshots, or support messages. Revoke tokens you no longer use and replace any token that may have been exposed.

What permissions can I give a token?

Tokens use scoped permissions so you only grant what's needed. The Read scope lets you browse bets and view your portfolio and wallet. User lets you update your display name and preferences. Social covers managing friends and favourites. Wallet gives access to wallet and transaction data. The Bet scope is sensitive and lets you create bets and place wagers with real money. It's off by default when creating a token. Tokens never have access to your private keys, fund transfers, or account deletion.

How do I revoke or manage my tokens?

Go to [Settings > Developer](/settings) tab to see all your active tokens with their scopes, last-used time, and expiry. Tap the trash icon to revoke any token immediately. Revoked tokens stop working instantly. If you think a token was compromised, revoke it and create a new one.
